Azura (Fire Emblem Fates) (Substance).

Another of my personal proyects. This time, a texturing of a 3D model of the character Azura, from Fire Emblem Fates.

To begin with, and considering my bad luck with the previous Sonic model, I wanted to look for a different one. And I remembered one of my favourite videogame sagas: Fire Emblem. Searching in Sketchfab, I found this cool model of Azura, a character of Fire Emblem Fates, and I decided to do it´s texturing, knowing that it would be more difficult than the Sonic model, being more complex.

This character has the peculiarity that in his game, he can go through a route of light, or another of darkness, and depending on this, he has one costume or another. And knowing that I love both costumes, I decided that I would take reference of both, and mix them. The reference images are the last two in this publication.

Most of the model I was able to do without much inconvenience, other than having to use various types of masks to give more detail, and that it wasn't something simple and straightforward. Using "spots" in the hair to make it look more realistic, leather masks for the bows and the dress itself, and facial skin masks for the face and body.

The only part that sadly I couldn't do as I wanted, were the "bracelets" that Azura wears on her legs, and the "shields" that she has on her hips. This is because when I downloaded the .obj, it didn't come with detail, referring to the circular shape of the bracelets, or the flower shape of the shields. So even if they were square or straight, I decided to make some golden details so they wouldn't be empty.

Apart from that, I love the rest of the model and the way it has turned out. And I'm proud of what I'm improving in Substance.
